The front room has been running since the start of the salt gallery. To manage the space more efficently it became a community interest company in 2007 - The Front Room Projects CIC (No.6206481) operates on a not for profit basis. Curtorial control is undertaken by louise & marilyn with the support of a management committee. We gain project funding on behalf of artists and encourage new or experimental work, as well as hosting touring shows.

the salt gallery has existed since june 2004. We are both artists and share running the space with working in our studios.
We believe that we should show art of our time, involving an eclectic mix from Jewellery to Installation. Convinced this is how it is in the 21st Century we are no longer restrained by the Modernism of Greenberg.
We say - we are in the business of selling art, but not art that is made to sell.
