Paige excavates his own history growing up in California and Hawaii, were he attempts to understand how the past effects him in the present. Here he creates an Archivist office, walled off and empty while on the video he is caught catagorising his life using the artefacts that are left at his disposal; photographs, maps and paper documents.

takes previously explored work (archive, 2005) and develops the position
of the viewer’s role as observer and spectator examining the evidence
of a anothers life.
The evidence of modern activity is examined using the documents, photography
and artefacts the artist has generated over the last 25 years. He studies
the material of place and when ordered the patterns and systems that
take shape.
