Everything around us and within us is constantly changing. We are continually reminded of this by the cycle of nature.
A human body is entirely renewed every eleven months. Your hand is not the same as it was yesterday, nor is your heart.
There is not one moment of stillness in the physical world. Stillness and permanence are otherworldly. Permanence is metaphysical and is impossible to capture. The visions of artists using changing materials and natural phenomena are contradictive and infinitely varying, however the theme remains the same: the question of impermanence and the search for its meaning.
