Jo Aylward trained at the Kent Institute of Art and Design in Maidstone where she gained a distinction in her Foundation Diploma in Art and Design and Bretton Hall College of the University of Leeds where she graduated in 1997 with a First Class Honours Degree in Fine Art Painting and Printmaking. 
Since 1997 Jo has been working from various studios, in Bingley, and at Sanderson George and Peach Gallery in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, and now in Deal, Kent
